Managing Your Website Passwords
Comodo Dragon allows you to save login data for your favorite websites so you can automatically sign in without having to manually enter your username/password. This saves you from having to rely upon your memory or from storing passwords on insecure media like post-it notes which can be lost or stolen. All saved passwords are securely stored in your Dragon user profile. You can also set a 'master password'. If enabled, Dragon will ask you for this master password every time it is requested to automatically enter login details for a website. This is very useful for shared computers.
| Note: Your passwords, along with
your other personal Dragon settings, can be synced with your Google
account. This allows you to easily retrieve and use these settings on
other computers that you are using. |
- Click the Comodo Dragon
icon at the top-left corner. - Click Settings-> 'Show advanced settings' link.

Manage automatic password settings
- Check "Offer to save passwords I enter on the web" if you want Dragon to prompt you to save your password every time you sign in to a new website.
If you let Dragon saves website passwords, you'll see a prompt every time you sign in to a new website. If you click 'Never for this site' in the prompt, your password for the site is not saved and the site is added to a list of passwords that are never saved.
To edit the 'Never saved' list:
- Click the Comodo Dragon
icon at the top-left corner.
- Select Settings > 'Show advanced settings' link.
- Click 'Manage saved passwords' button.
- In the 'Passwords' dialog, scroll down to the "Never saved" section at the bottom.
Now revisit the website and you should see the prompt to save your password information again, if you've allowed Google Chrome to show the prompt.

Delete saved passwords
- Click the Comodo Dragon
icon at the top-left corner.
- Select Settings > Click 'Show advanced settings' link.
- Click 'Manage saved passwords' button in the "Passwords and forms" section to see a list of all the usernames and passwords that have been saved.
In the Passwords dialog that appears, use your mouse to hover over the site whose password you'd like to remove and click the 'x' that appears on the right.

If you have asked Dragon to remember your usernames and passwords, then they will be automatically entered whenever you visit a particular website. While this is very convenient, it can present a security risk if somebody else sits at your computer, visits the login page of one of your websites and then automatically gains access to your account. The master password feature allows you to overcome this by requiring a password before Dragon will enter your login data.
Important: Do not forget your master password. If you do, you will not be able to access your saved passwords.
To specify a master password:
- Click the Comodo Dragon icon
at the top-left corner.
- Click Settings-> 'Show advanced settings' link.

- In the "Passwords and forms" section:
- Check "Enable master password" box if you want Dragon to be protected with secure and unique passwords.
- The 'Master password' dialog will open.
- Enter a password for authenticating in the 'New password' box and then repeat it. Click 'Ok'.
- Click 'Generate' button to automatically generate a password.
To disable the master password
- Click the Comodo Dragon
icon at the top-left corner.
