DLP Monitoring Rules
Click ‘Settings’ > ‘Data Loss Prevention’ > ‘DLP Monitoring’
- DLP monitoring rules allow or block copying files to external storage devices.
- Monitoring rules are configured by your Endpoint Manager admin. Rules are applied to your device by adding them to the EM profile active on your device.
- CCS continuously monitors attempted data transfers to devices like USB drives and allows/blocks the transfer as per the rules in real time. The the following storage devices are covered:
- USB Data Devices like pen drives
- External HDDs /SSDs
- USB connected external optical disk drives (CD/DVD)
- SD, Micro SD Cards, SDXC-SDHC cards
- eSata removable drives
- FireWire connected devices
- Devices using MTP protocol
- You can view the log details in CCS Logs.
- Click 'Logs' on the top and select 'Data Loss Prevention Events' in the 'Show' drop-down'

- The ‘DLP Monitoring’ interface shows you the monitoring rules active on your device.
