Email Connection Setup Guide

To connect your email account, you need to configure both IMAP (for receiving emails) and SMTP (for sending emails) settings. You must obtain these settings from your email hosting provider (e.g., Gmail, Outlook, Zoho, Yandex, GoDaddy, etc.). Please copy and paste the correct information from your provider’s documentation or support. The required information includes:

  • IMAP and SMTP server addresses
  • Email address (username)
  • Email password
  • Port numbers
  • Security type (SSL/TLS or STARTTLS)

1. Configure IMAP Settings

Use IMAP settings to receive emails. Fill in the fields as follows:

  1. User: Enter your full email address (e.g., user@example.com).

  2. Password: Enter the password for your email account.

  3. Host: Enter the IMAP server address (e.g., imap.example.com).

  4. Port: Enter the IMAP port (commonly 993 for SSL).

  5. SSL/TLS: Keep this enabled for a secure connection.

  6. Allow Unauthorized Certs: Enable if your provider uses a self-signed certificate.

  7. Allow Reply to Mails: Enable this if you want to reply to received emails.

2. Configure SMTP Settings

Use SMTP settings to send emails. Fill in the fields as follows:

  1. User: Enter your full email address (same as in IMAP).

  2. Password: Enter your email account password.

  3. Host: Enter the SMTP server address (e.g., smtp.example.com).

  4. Port: Enter the SMTP port number (commonly 465 for SSL or 587 for STARTTLS).

  5. SSL/TLS: Keep this enabled for a secure connection.

  6. Disable STARTTLS: Enable this only if your server does not support STARTTLS.
