Step 2 - Anti-Tampering Password

• Click 'How-to' > 'Set up your roaming endpoints to Secure Internet Gateway' > 'Next' to open this step.

Step 2 covers setting an anti-tampering password. The password makes sure agents cannot be stopped or uninstalled from devices without your permission or supervision.

You can set, change or clear the password from a single dialog.

Set the password

1. Click 'Anti-Tampering Password', next to the 'Download Agent' button. A dialog appears.
   
   
2. Type a password into the 'Password' field.
   
   
3. Click 'SAVE'.

After you save the password, the agents apply anti-tampering within a few minutes (the next heartbeat).

Change or remove the password

Return to the same dialog. To change the password, enter the new value and click 'SAVE'. To remove it, clear the field and click 'SAVE'.

Uninstall an agent that has a password

When you uninstall such an agent, it asks for the anti-tampering password. Type the password and click 'OK' to uninstall the agent.
