Configuring Pop-ups

You can configure Comodo Dragon to block, allow or selectively allow pop-ups. You can see the  icon in the top right side of the address bar of the browser whenever a pop-up for a site is blocked.

To configure pop-ups

  • Click the Comodo Dragon icon  located at the top-left corner.

  • Select 'Settings' from the menu >Show advanced settings link .

  • Scroll down to 'Privacy' section.

  • Click the 'Content settings' in the Privacy section.

  • Select 'Pop-ups' from the list of features in the 'Content Settings' dialog.

  • Select 'Allow all sites to show pop-ups' for all pop-ups to display.

  • Select 'Do not allow any site to show pop-ups (recommended)' to block all pop-ups.

  • Click the 'Manage exceptions...' button to customize your settings for allowing or blocking pop-ups.

Enter the web address of the web-page in the 'Pattern' text box.

  • Select 'Allow' or 'Block' in the Action drop-down box.

  • Close the dialog.

You can see the website is added to the list of pop-up exceptions. Right clicking on any website in this list opens a context menu which allows you to add or remove websites and specify other settings such as spell-checker options.

You can also view the list of pop-ups that were blocked by clicking the  icon in the address bar.

In the list that is displayed, you can view the pop-up window by clicking on it. Select the 'Allows allow pop-ups from....' for unrestricted viewing of all pop-ups from that particular website. It will be automatically added to the exception list. Click the 'Manage pop-up blocking' link to access the 'Content Settings' dialog.
