Upgrade Secure Internet Gateway

Comodo Secure Internet Gateway is an advanced web-filter provides real-time protection against harmful websites and malware.

• ‘Secure DNS Filtering – Gold’ is included as a free module with your C1 account

• The 'Platinum' version includes additional security features and services

• The trial version of Platinum is free for thirty days and can be added to your account at any time

• You can upgrade to the paid version by purchasing a new license from the C1 console 

• Alternatively, you can add Secure Internet Gateway - Platinum by linking this account to another Comodo account that already has a license.

DNS Request Limits

Platinum License - Unlimited DNS requests.

Gold license - DNS requests capped at 300 K per month for the account.

• Account = requests from all your endpoints/networks.

• DNS requests are mainly used up by first-time requests to external sites. Subsequent requests for the same site are handled by the local cache until TTL expires.

• Requests to the Comodo Secure Internet Gateway portal are not included in the 300 K limit.

After the 300 K limit is reached:

• Existing policies and rules will continue to function, but you cannot edit them.

• You cannot add new rules, policies or objects. Objects = networks, roaming agents and mobile agents.

• The request count is reset to zero at the beginning of each month. You can then add and edit policy items and rules again.

Purchase a New License

New Platinum licenses can be purchased in the 'Store' interface:

• Click 'Store' on the C1 menu bar

• Locate the ‘Secure Internet Gateway’ tile:

• Click 'Buy' or '30 Day Free Trial' depending on the version you want to add to Comodo One.

You are taken to the product order page. The example shown below is for the paid version.

• Your username is pre-populated
  

• Enter your Comodo One account password then click 'Login'

• Click the 'Buy New' button if you selected a paid version.

• This section is skipped for ‘Basic’ licenses. You will instead go straight to the customer information screen.
  

• Enter or select the number of users you require. The per-user rate depends on the number of users

• Select the subscription duration. The minimum license period is one month

• Click 'Next' to continue to the customer information form:

• Customer Information - Enter your company name, website and address details

• Agree to the terms and conditions and click 'Next'

• The next step is to confirm your order and enter payment details if you have opted for paid version. If you opted for the basic version then the process will jump straight to order summary.

 

• Review your order and enter your payment details 

• Click 'Next' 

• Your order is submitted and subscription details displayed. You will receive a confirmation mail with the order details and license key.

• The order summary page is shown after you order has been processed:

• Click 'Print' to take a print of the order summary

• Click 'Finish' to complete the purchase process
  

You can access Secure Internet Gateway from the C1 'Applications' menu after your order has been successfully processed. See the description at the end of this section if you need more help to open interface.

Activate a License

You can activate Secure Internet Gateway licenses in 'Management' > 'Applications'. The process is slightly different if you want to activate a license that was purchased via your CAM account.

All newly purchased licenses are activated immediately. Follow these steps only if your license is not active for some reason.

• Click ‘Management' > ‘Applications’ on the C1 menu bar

• Click the 'Secure Internet Gateway' tile

• Click the ‘Subscriptions’ tab if not open already

• Select the license you want to activate

• Click ‘Activate Selected’

Activate a license in a linked account

You can activate licenses in linked accounts by logging in to the other account at the product order form. Note - You must first have linked an account and set it as default. See Comodo One License Account Details for help with this.

• Click 'Store' on the C1 menu bar
  

• Locate the ‘Secure Internet Gateway’ tile

• Click 'Buy' or '30 Days Free Trial’:

• You are taken to the order form
  

• The username for the default account is pre-populated
  

• Enter the password for the default account then click 'Login':
  

• The next page shows Secure Internet Gateway licenses on your default account

• Choose the license you want to use for this account and click 'Activate Selected'

Open Comodo Secure Internet Gateway

• Click 'Applications' > 'Secure Internet Gateway':

• Click 'Applications' > 'All Applications' > 'Open Module' on the 'Secure Internet Gateway' tile:
